Daryl leads the ‘Office of the CISO’ for Google Cloud in the Asia-Pacific. His responsibilities cover cyber security, technology governance, and digital trust & regulations, helping clients navigate the complex and dynamic cyber risk landscape in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. Daryl’s career spans nearly 30 years in technology and cyber security with a decade in the financial sector, six years in public sector and 11 years in consulting. He was previously the Partner-in-charge and founder of the Cyber Consulting practice at KPMG, the largest Big 4 Cyber practice in Singapore consisting of 5 Partners and 120 cyber professionals. Prior to that he held various global & regional roles in Deutsche Bank and Westpac Bank’s Technology division. At Deutsche Bank, Daryl was the global head of the Program Management Office within Global Banking IT division, where he oversaw governance for a €500M portfolio with 120 programs, and 150 project managers based in Singapore, Frankfurt, London and New York. Daryl began his career working in the Australian Federal Government as an outsourced contractor at the Australian Customs Service, followed by positions with the Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Agriculture. Daryl is the former President of ISACA Singapore. ISACA is the world’s premier certification body for cyber security and IT risk professionals with 180,000 members globally. He is currently serving as a Governor at the Institute of Internal Auditors. Daryl is certified as a CISM, CISA, CRISC, and CPA (Australia), and earned his MBA from Manchester Business School, and a Master of Information Technology and B.Commerce/Infosystems from the University of Canberra.
