As the managing director of global cyber security operations and technology at Standard Chartered Bank (Fortune 100), Lavy brings a wealth of private and public sector knowledge and experience in the field of cyber security. Prior to this role, Lavy served as the head of the Israeli national CERT, leading all cyber national operations and incident response efforts for sectorial CERTs. He established over 80 formal cooperation agreements with international CERTs and cyber agencies and represented Israel in international efforts to cooperate against cyber adversaries and crime organizations.
Lavy also played a key role in the World Economic Forum's Partnership against Cybercrime initiative, collaborating with organizations such as INTERPOL, Europol, Cyber Threat Alliance, Cyber Defence Alliance, FIRST, and leading companies to address the global issue of cybercrime and enhance public-private cooperation against it. In addition, Lavy established the first Israeli relationship with FSISAC and developed a first-of-its-kind umbrella contract to cover strategic partnerships for the entire Israeli financial sector. In addition, he established and led an innovation venture within a large bank in Israel, promoting new cyber security companies and collaborating with multiple international venture capitals. As a public speaker, advisory board member, and expert in technology validation for venture capital, Lavy is well-respected in the industry and is frequently sought out for his insights and expertise. Lavy holds a bachelor's degree in information technology and business administration from Reichman University and is a certified corporate director and an alumnus of the Cyber Security Risk Management program at Harvard University.
